One ride, two charities.

Some of you are aware I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer back in December 2011 and under went a radical prostatectomy, meaning I had an operation to remove the whole of my prostate gland in February 2012.

It is 3 years since the operation and with a PSA level virtually undetectable at my last check up. I still suffer some side effects from the operation. This is likely with being…

mtbo 2015

Hello, my plans for 2015 are taking shape.

All the following are Mountain Bike Orienteering, yawn now and stop reading maybe?

But life is about balance and MTBO has that:

  • Ultimate excitement - Mountain Biking. Danny Hart at Champery. 'THAT IS INSAAAANE!!'
  • Ultimate boredom - Orienteering. Wandering around lost, looking at a map. Up there with Geology. 'I'VE FOUND A FOSSIL!!!!'

Yin and Yang…

The Sandstone Way

This new mtb route opens in Spring next year. One on my list if I'm still pushing the pedals

It links, and is named after, the numerous sandstone features, crags and outcrops which are characteristic of the region. 2014 / 2015

As threatened, a blog entry.

So excuses for 2014; how many can you stomach?

Taking on PayPal

November 2013 decided to sell my S-Works Stumpjumper as I needed the spare cash and I was not riding a great deal.  A great bike in excellent condition. In the advertising notes, I'd included that I would prefer the buyer to come look at the bike, and even ride it.  I wanted my beloved bike to go to a happy new owner.

Got a call from plenty of potential buyers, a lot of time wasters and a fair few idiots wanting a top spec bike for daft swaps, or a lot less cash than I wanted.  But…
