Great news on the arrest Colin, and good stuff on the offer of locks.

Thanks Colin for the supply of bike locks that will be great as I do like a scone and coffee and a lock is the thing I never remember to take with me.

Maybe im cynical but the thief will get a slap on the wrist its a joke the punishments these scum get. I would lock him up until the bike is returned.

Locks are a great idea.

Hi, Colin here from Glebe Cottage. Some good news to report, because of our CCTV images they have arrested someone but sadly the bike has not been recovered as yet. Just so know we are now providing locks for bikes to use if needed. So hopefully with the bike locks and the CCTV this sort of thing won't happen again.

Thanks for posting this Graham. It looks like we'll have to carry a bike lock on our rides now. My Camelbak already weighs a ton with a litre of drink, energy gels and bars, tool kit, a few spares, inner tube, first aid kit & servival  bag, and camera.

Any one know of a LIGHT WEIGHT one?

Good to see that they do have CCTV though. Hopefully the images will help catch this scumbag.

Im going up there this sat but never leave my bike unattended. I'll keep an eye out for random vans kicking about.

God I have left my bike outside there loads of times. Quiet little village, you think your safe! Just goes to show eh!

Fn Scum Bag! Just goes to show, be on your guard people, there are some Snakes about who will take any opportunity.

It alarms me how many bikes are left outside PVC Cafe! Surely a possible hot spot for these Bottom Feeders?

Sold my Whyte 905 last year, cracking bike, will keep me eye out on Ebay and Others..
